Project Lead
As a Project Lead at US Medical Innovations, I led the design and development of the Canady Robotics SR-70 Surgical System, overseeing an $8M R&D program from concept through verification. I contributed to the clinical translation and launch of the Canady Plasma XL-1000 Generator, advancing cold plasma technology from laboratory research to patient care. My work spanned electromechanical system design, PCB prototyping, supplier management under ISO 13485, and full FDA design control documentation, including risk management under ISO 14971 and verification and validation activities. I supported regulatory testing under IEC 60601, 62366, and 62304 standards, while collaborating closely with clinicians and cross-functional teams to refine safety-critical, human-centered interfaces. This work resulted in five U.S. patents in surgical robotics and medical device engineering.
